Waypoint
Files
These are the focus of the site. Using these in conjuction
with FrikBot v0.09+
(which includes modes incorporating the FrikBot) should
add to more fluid movement and navigation.
ID Original -
[Single Player and Deathmatch]
Not all of Quake's original maps have been waypointed at this time,
but those that have been are available here.
Custom DeathMatch -
[#-B] [C-E] [F-H]
[I-K] [L-N] [O-Q]
[R-T] [U-W] [X-Z]
Hundreds of people have made and are still making their own
Deathmatch maps. Because of the large number of these maps, they have
been categorised alphabetically by file name.
Modifications -
[Team Fortress] [PainKeep]
Many Quake modifications (Mods) need the use of special maps. Such
maps that have been waypointed have been categorised accordingly to the
modification for which they are for.
Quake Mission Packs -
[Scourge Of Armagon]
You'll find the waypoints to the offical Quake Mission Packs above.
Right now theres only a few, which are for Scourge Of Armagon.
Waypoint
Editors
Both editors are easy to get to grips with, and have excellent
instructions in the readme. Use FrikBot Waypoint Editor
if you want to waypoint Team Fortress maps, as FrikBot Waypoint
Studio does not support them outright. Also, FrikBot Waypoint
Editor allows saving and loading of waypoint sets within
the editor.
FrikBot Waypoint
Editor 1.1

This was the first waypoint editor made available, and features
all you need to get going and whip up some .way files.
From the readme:
"With the FrikBot Wayoint Editor, it is now
possible to modify waypoints in a map. You may add, remove,
re-link, move waypoints, as well as setting flags specific
to the waypoint. In addition, you have the option to automatically
add waypoints as you walk through the map."
"This
version of the waypoint editor fixes some bugs and stability
issues. It will also happily process the maps from the Quake
Mission packs, and most TeamFortress maps. (I'm sure there
are still TF flags that haven't been handled yet.)
"It also allows the quick-loading and quick-saving
of waypoints. This is quite useful when you want to save
your work for later, or if you forgot to type "-condebug
1". :-)"
FrikBot
Waypoint Studio 1.2

The second editor. Currently at version 1.2.
From the readme:
"This is slightly a more robust version of
Raymond Martineau's FrikBot waypoint editor. It is a bit
more awkward (in my opinion) than Raymond's, for you must
move back and forth between menus to get at features that
were available right on the keyboard, but it's easier to
get started with, and contains a few additional advanced
features."
"When I finally got to use my own editor in actually
attempting to create good waypoint maps for the FrikBot,
I found it even more cumbersome than I had anticipated.
This update to Way Studio is an attempt at improving usability
and efficiency."
